About Us

Grip Witch is a community based and Maori owned business founded by Andrew and Asha in the South Island of New Zealand.

We decided to open our small business because of the frustrations us and many of our friends found accessing various grip and pole and aerial support items. 

Andrew's chosen apparatuses are silks and pole, with a background in triathlon. Andrew has competed in Pole Legends in 2018, 2019, 2021 taking out the Ultimate Male Legend award all three years. 

Andrew also loves to teach at Altitude Pole Wigram, where he casts a spell over his silks, pole and stretch students. (Who continue to return despite the cardio heavy warm ups).

Asha has competed in NZAPP, Pole Stars and Miss Pole Queen some time very long ago in a galaxy very far away.

She enjoys helping her students nail their goals and crafting choreos.

You can find Asha teaching each week at Altitude Wigram and covering classes at Altitude Pole Central, teaching pole, booty dance and the occasional stretch class.

Together with their familiar Otis, Andrew and Asha live together in a gingerbread cottage in the woods of Christchurch.
